FWF-inspired

Happy FWF! I have been sorta, kinda wanting to start an art journal. When I saw Angie Blom's Unity TV video I decided to start. I've had this sketch book for a long, long time and figured it would work. I glued 2 pages together to make the pages a little thicker. I started with a base of Making Memories paints in green and purple...my favorite color combo. I stamped the butterflies from the Webster's Pages dream.Big. Itty Bitty. The letters are from the June 11 KOTM. I cut them apart so I could use the individual letters. This is just the first page and I really enjoyed making it. I'm hoping to keep going with it. Thanks for looking!! Be sure to stop at the Unity blog. There's more blogs to see and of course, a prize to be won. Since it's almost CHA there are lots of fantastic NEW STAMPS on the Unity website. My wishlist is growing!!

FWF-Friday the 13th

Happy Friday! Another week, another Friends with Flair. While cleaning out my daughter's closet I found a bag of mini books. I decided to make a book of birthdays out of one of them. When it's finished it will have one page for the month and the facing page will have a list of the birthdays for that month. After a couple attempts at designing the cover I finally decided on this one. I just had to use my one and only Spellbinders :-) . The kits I used are 'best day ever' and 'simple party' itty Bitty. I also used a dimensional glaze for the first time. I started the pages but I'm not sure yet what I want to do with them other than maybe bordering them with colors that match their birthstone. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Remember to stop by the Unity blog for the rest of the participants. It's also Angela's birthday today. I guess my project today is appropriate! Thanks for looking!

the 1st FWF of 2012

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. Mine was filled with lots of family time. Lots & lots of family time. Today's card was made using a Marah Johnson Itty Bitty. I entered it for Unity's Facebook challenge to use an Itty Bitty, but I think facebook ate it. Be sure to stop by the Unity blog to see the rest of the bloggers. So much inspiration!
