FWF & Journal fun

I haven't played in my art journal much. I did the first one a while ago. The second one I did today. I have no idea what I'm doing when I make these pages but that's the whole point, right? No rules.

The first page is for me to write my wishes on which I will do....eventually. The second one started out with daisy and rose printed papers. I added paint and now those papers are gone. Oh well. I think I like the end result.I hope you like them but it's really ok if you don't. If you do journal pages maybe you can give me some tips on making better pages.

There's more to see at the Unity blog. And, of course, there's a sale.

Have a GREAT week!

FWF & Challenges

Happy Friday Everyone!
This weeks card was for the Crafty Steals challenge. I really enjoyed the sketch. I'm trying to enter more challenges. It gives me a much needed push :)
This was for the most recent  challenge at Sue's Cricut and Crafts. I posted about it here. The challenges start on the 5th of the month and the winner is chosen by votes. You can read about it it here...Christmas Challenges. I was the only entry for August :(

Well that's it for me today. Have a great week!!

FWF

Happy Friday everyone! It's not too happy for me because my sister is heading back to Florida after being here for the past few months. :(

Anyway....here's my FWF card for this week.

I used the Marah Johnson Marah Freedom stamp. I had been wanting it for so long and finally bought it. The sentiment is from the Ippity kit called All Things are Possible.

I have been looking for a good metallic ink. I've tried a couple and the ink will either not dry (even after heat setting) or the metallic part will just rub off. Anyone have a recommendation for a good metallic ink? Thanks!.

Inkadinkado

Inkadinkado has a new stamping tool.
It's called Stamping Gear. Here is the Deluxe kit.

"To use, mount a stamp onto the Stamping Gear clear paddle, then stamp the image around your choice of the circle and oval cogs and wheels"

I found it at my local JoAnn's. I've been playing with it all day.
The two cards here were stamped inside the round gear.

There are other stamp sets that you can buy as well. The design possibilities are endless. I've found that any unmounted stamp, like Unity, will work as well.
These are really fun to stamp with. I do have a couple suggestions for them though. One is to make a long bar to stamp images in a straight line. The other is to make more smaller images.

August Christmas Challenge

Time again for the challenge at

This month's challenge is to try a new technique. And make 6 of them. I decided to make a gate fold card since I never made one. There were a few on the web that had two blocks, one attached to either side, instead of the usual single image. So, of course, I had to do that too.

I also tried to make a little scene by adding snow and snowflakes with Stickles.

I now have 24 Christmas cards done!!!

Coloring: Sharpies
Paper: DCWV

FWF

It's Friday and that means Friends with Flair!
I made the background for this card a while ago. It's stamped with the piece of foam that came with some Tim Holtz embossing folders. I couldn't figure out what to make with it....until now. Unity has all the Susan K. Weckesser stamps on sale right now. I decided to use one of the sets to make this card. The set I used is called Create Your Day

Unity is also have a Little Wish sale. Angela asked her customers what was on their wish lists and made a sale featuring some of the wishes.

Have a WONDERFUL week!!
