FWF

Happy FridayEveryone! Hope you had a great week!

I made a few cards this week for challenges. The first two were for Tombow but I missed the deadline. Oh well.
The first one is not something I would normally do but it was so fun.
For this card I used a Cuttlebug die and embossing folder.
This card was for the DCWV sketch challenge.
I had fun making these cards. I used things I haven't used in a long time.
I need to do this more often :)

Have a great week!!

FWF Inspired from the web.

Happy Friday!

I've been spending too much time on the internet but at least it inspires me to create ;)

I saw something like this (much better than this) somewhere on my internet travels. I took out my shimmer watercolors to try and recreate the look. A bow and Unity stamp finished the card.
For this card I originally tried a shimmer watercolor sunset and these Donna Downey stamps. It was a total failure.
This card was inspired by all the chalk effect cards. Only, I used chalk pencils instead of ink.

I'm off to check out the other FWF blogs and Unity's 14,000 Facebook fan SALE!

Cards & Pages

Hi Everyone! It's Friday!

I used Unity's Snowflake Kisses (on sale this weekend)
and ColorBox chalk ink in Chambray.
And here's my 6 with envelopes and inside sentiment. I might not enter it though. I'm the only one that plays. Even though I love the prizes I have won (Stampin Up stamp sets), I really wish she had more players.
I have been working on the 21 Birthdays 6x6 books that I'm making for my kids.

The black & white papers are from DCWV Midnight Chic stack. I like all the patterns and all I'll add is colored cardstock. I used a couple Unity stamps on my daughter's pages. I tend to scrapbook in stages. Once I get the main part of the layouts done I might go back and add something at a later time. Maybe I'll find something for the pages from this weekend's Unity Sale ;)!

FWF

Happy Friday!

I bought the DCWV Midnight Chic stack to make my wedding album until I remembered I already bought a kit with the red/black/white colors. So I now have a 180 sheet stack of 8.5x11 black & white prints. You will probably see a lot of projects using this stack :).
This box also has the Midnight Chic stack. I colored the paper using Gelatos. The 'ME" is a car part. I want to add a Unity stamp to it. I just haven't figured out which one yet. Any suggestions?

Sue's Cricut and Crafts has the May Christmas challenge posted. The theme is snowflakes. You can use any company you want. I know you have some Unity snowflakes in your stash. Go play! Think how nice it would be not rushing to make your cards in November!

Have a great week everyone!

Play Time

Hi everyone!

I recently won some Fireworks spray inks.
I decided today was a good day to play with them :)
I bought some small canvases at Michael's on clearance and used one for this project.
I started by spraying a few colors to start my background. I wanted that shimmer from the sprays. I didn't gesso the canvas because I wanted the texture to show. After the sprays dried I pulled out some Unity stamps.....Christy Tomlinson, Donna Downey, & Marah Johnson.Using Colorbox inks I added the stamping. I also used a Portafolia yellow ink & I have to say I don't like it at all. I only use it because it's bright yellow. It takes FOREVER to dry! Even when heat setting!! I need to get a Colorbox yellow.

All weekend Unity is celebrating their 5th Birthday with a 50% off everything sale! And they just introduced a new membership kit called Layers of Life (LOL). I might just have to sign up for this one. Yesterday was my birthday and it would be the perfect gift, right?
Anyway check out the UNITY BLOG for all the info.

HAPPY 5th BIRTHDAY UNITY!!
