Cards for OWH

These cards were made from my scrap stash. The stamp on the purple/blue card is from Unity and you can see it better here . There's also a sale on at Unity so you might want to check it out.

These mini papers are from Elle's Studio as part of their Christmas line. They're cut just the right size for cards! I decided to use them for Miss You and Happy Birthday instead of Christmas.

I was digging through a folder of patterned papers and came across some Valentine Looney Tunes papers and punch outs. I can't even remember when I bought them. I didn't think I had anything for Valentine's Day. It's amazing what I find when I start looking through my stash.

In case you haven't guessed, I'm still in use-it-up mode. I have a lot of 8.5x11 paper that I bought when I first started scrapbooking. I know I'll never use it for my books but it's great for making cards. One of these days I'll get to buy some new papers :)

The book is done

I've been working on my nephew's book trying to get it finished by the anniversary of his death. I have it done as much as I can. My sister needs to do the journaling and I'll probably add a little more to it after she's done. It's hard to believe that it's been a year....

More of Bruce's book

I've been trying to get this book finished. In case you're wondering why there's so much 'white space' my sister will need room to journal and possibly add more pics. If anyone has any suggestions for the pages please let me know. On the family pages I got to use my new Cricut...love that thing :)

In other news, There's a new challenge blog called Saturday Spotlight withHidden Potential. I can't wait to see what kind of challenges they'll have but for now they have BLOG CANDY! Go take a look. I already follow a few of the DT blogs & they're awesome so I'm sure I'll love this new blog too.

Altered wall hanging

My daughter used to tape all sorts of things to her walls in her room. After we painted, I told her no more tape on the walls. I thought we could use corkboard but it refused to stay up. I was at Target looking at the scrapbook clearance and saw some Making Memories chipboard calendars. It didn't dawn on me at first that I could alter them. I went back the next day and bought 3 sets along with a Paper Crush scrapbooking kit. I used 2 sets for the wall hanging (the last one is for me). After taking off all the embellishments I cut the papers to fit the chipboard, added eyelets at the corners and tied it all together with ribbon. I ended up having to tape up the back to give it more stability. The kit came with a ton of diecuts so she can add them as well as all her magazine cutouts, pictures, and whatever else she wants without damaging the walls. The first thing she put on it was her Creed concert ticket. There are stars hanging from the bottom that in their original form were earrings.

My nephew's book

I'm making this book for my sister. It's about her son who died in November at the age of 36. Although his death was ruled a suicide, the actual cause should have been mental illness. Ten years ago his "friend " though he needed to relax & have fun. She slipped a dose of ecstasy into his drink. He ended up having a psychotic break. He should have had a happy, full life.

Good news/Bad news

Good news-I get to scrap again! Hubby will be working overtime so I dragged most of my scrapping stuff back to the dining room. I just need to figure out where to put my two carts or some of the stuff that's in them.

Bad news-Living room won't get painted any time soon so we'll still have things in boxes for a while.

Oh well, can't have everything. I'm just happy to get back to scrapping. I got so bored this past week that I actually read the Twilight saga, all 4 books. I did enjoy them though. A good read but a little too much romance for my taste.

Look for some layouts or cards or something from me soon!

Some more ATC's

Here a few more ATC's. They are of my dad, mom, maternal grandfather (Gidu), and maternal grandparents with my aunt & uncle. It's their passport photo. The one of my grandfather needs something but I don't know what. Maybe someone can give me an idea for what to add to it.

Some ATC's

I really like making artist trading cards (ATC's). They're usually for artwork but most of mine are like a mini scrapbook. It's a fun way to scrap those wallet sized photos. They fit onto a 7 Gypsies ATC holder that you can see here...http://www.shopatron.com/index/533.0.31531.31536.0.0.0 It can also be seen here...http://sevengypsies.blogspot.com/ 7 Gypsies also makes a photo carousel that I'd love to get eventually. I'll post more soon.
