FWF and Chick Challenges

This card was for Chick Challenges with Ippity challenge #35. I had fun playing with my watercolors and stickles.

I was playing around this morning with some scraps that were on my table. When I saw the current Chick Challenge (#36) I knew what I would do.

Have a great week everyone. You might want to take a look at Unity over the weekend. They're having a GARAGE SALE!

Unity & Ippity FWF

I had this jewelry box  for a long time. When I got a new one I thought about tossing it. But, it was well made so I decided to alter it instead. I painted it black then used white paint to stamp on it. I used Unity and Ippity quotes first. Then I filled in with butterflies, swirls, flowers, and hearts. I really love how it turned out.

There's a Unity new release and SALE this weekend. Lots of goodies to be had.

IPPITY

I made this card for the Chick Challenges with Ippity sketch challenge. This challenge is over but there's a new one up. Their challenges are always fun!

Happy Friday!

Today's card was very quick to make...paper and 2 stamps! I love when that happens. I wish more were this easy.

Ippity Stamps: courage is my strength and thankful for you

FWF

Hope everyone had a great week and are ready for the long weekend.

This weeks card did not start out this way. I used the Angie Girl set and stamped the flowers all over the card. I even added the butterfly from the with sympathy set. That didn't work out so well so I made it a window card. Again, I didn't like it. Then I remembered a card done by Cheri and the Chick Challenges with Ippity sketch #31 and made this card.

Ippity: Angie Girl

Unity: with sympathy & bitty itty bitty

It's Friday!!

It's Friday and that means Friends with Flair. Here's my card for this week.

Stop on over at the Unity blog to see more participants in this week's hop.

A Christmas Challenge

At Sue's Cricut and Crafts there is a monthly Christmas card challenge. You are to make 6 cards for the monthly theme/color. The cards are then voted on and the winner gets a prize. This month's color is blue or purple. This was definitely a challenge for me. I rarely make blue cards for Christmas and I never make 6 of the same card. Here are my cards:

There's still time to enter. Check out her blog for the details!

Patterned paper- DCWV

Spellbinders- Blossoms and Tags

Rhinestones- Darice

FWF & a little mixed media

Happy Friday!!

I finally decided to try making a mixed media project. I had some 5x7 pieces of chipboard and decided to use them. Of course, I poured out too much decoupage glue and had to make two.

On this one I used the Christy Tomlinson stamps and scrap paper. I also found an old star stamp roller.

On this one I used a few Ippity stamps along with the Christy Tomlinson stamps, scrap paper, and a Heidi Grace rub-on..

These were fun to make. And I still have 5 more pieces of the chipboard....

Unity stamps: Christy Tomlinson SHE Leaped, Reversed Punchinella, Distressed Quilt

Ippity stamps: Time for Friends & Wine, Music of my Heart, and Bloom & Simplify

**the Bloom & Simplify is on loan to me from my sister. Thanks Pam!**

Have a

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!

Ippity

On the Chick Challenges with Ippity blog there is this sketch and for some reason I had a hard time with it. Maybe because I wanted a more masculine look.

I tried several different papers but I wasn't happy with any of them. I started flipping through my 6x6 paper pads and came across this from the Authentique Celebrate pad. Sometimes all you need is the right paper and the right sentiment.

The sentiment is from Ippity's 'Just wanted to Say'. I love this set and use it a lot.

This Thursday, May 10th, is the Ippity May release party. I'm looking forward to seeing the new kits. Hope to see you there!

Friends with Flair

Quick post today. The Ippity challenge is for a masculine card so this is what I came up with. I hope you like it. Stop at the Unity blog for this week's players and SALE!! There are S.M.A.K. kits on sale.

Hi Pam :)

Happy Birthday....{to me}

Today is my birthday so I decided to share a couple birthday cards I made using the Unity 'quiet essence' kit and some colored vellum. I wanted this kit for a long time and finally bought it. This post from Ruza http://ruzascraftcorner.blogspot.com/2012/04/unity-friends-with-flair.html  reminded me how much I wanted it and inspired me.

I want to say Thank You to Sarah Mailloux  at http://themaillouxmoment.blogspot.com/

She sent me 2 Itty Bittys, some 6x6 paper, and a piece of very cool ribbon.

**Either my computer or Blogger is not allowing me to upload a picture :( **

But, anyway, Thank You Sarah. It's an awesome present and you didn't even know it was my birthday!

It's FWF-Unity's Birthday

Happy Friday!! This card was my entry for the last Chick Challenges with Ippity. Being pink, green, off white and having a little bling made it qualify for the Unity challenge and Ippity challenge too.

*****This weekend Unity is celebrating their 4th Birthday. They brought out some past kit of the month set for $20.  HAPPY BIRTHDAY UNITY!!*****

FWF

I recently bought a My Minds Eye 6x6 paper pad. It's been soooo long since I bought any paper.

You might want to stop by the Unity Blog for Friends with Flair and the Unity website for the warehouse sale.

Authentique

It's my first time entering an Authentique challenge. I recently got the Celebrate 6x6 bundle and I had to make a card, right? Besides, this itty bitty needed some ink. There's a bird on the quote but I wanted a butterfly so....now there's a butterfly.

Challenge: Authentique April Challenge
Paper: Authentique Celebrate
Stamp: Unity/Authentique Itty Bitty Direction of Happy

FWF & the DMV

Only have a minute today. I'm taking my daughter to take the test for her driver's license! Wish us luck!

Last night's Ippity reveal was so fun and crazy. I love the new releases by Angie Blom. They're fabulous!! Check them out along with all the sales on the Unity blog.

****She failed the parallel parking. But she did it fine when we got home. So we have to reschedule. She's upset but I'm sure she'll do it next week.

FWF & Happy Easter!

Happy Friday!! And while I'm at it HAPPY EASTER!

I'm sharing some cards I made but never put on the blog. They were made for either a Unity or Ippity challenge.

See you next week!
